The scars typically are all the way around the areola, vertically down from the areola to the inframammary crease (where the underwire of a bra would sit), and then horizontally across the crease.
As time passes, your scars will fade. Once all your incision are healed, Dr. Atagi and her team of medical professionals will talk to you about silicone sheeting, which helps to speed up the healing process and take the color out of the incision.

Will I have drains?
Dr. Atagi does place drains on both sides of the breast following the breast reduction procedure. Drains can typically be removed anywhere between 1 week after surgery up to 3 weeks after surgery, depending on the drain output.
