Browlift
Overview / Procedure FAQs / Post-Operative Instructions
Lines on the forehead are best softened or erased with a brow or forehead lift. Even the slightest lifting of the brow can help you appear more youthful and rested, eliminating the heaviness that can overwhelm the twinkle in your eyes.

An upper eyelid lift or the excision of frown muscles are often performed concurrently to enhance your results.

The most common browlift performed by Dr. Tanya Atagi is the endoscopic browlift. During this procedure, two tiny incisions will be made within the hairline. A biodegradable implant called an endotine will then help tighten and lift the sagging muscle and skin of the forehead. This procedure is generally done under a general anesthesia at an outpatient facility. The procedure will take 1.5 to 2 hours.

A coronal browlift is the more traditional browlift, and is the procedure done here if it better meets your goals. During this procedure, an incision will be made from ear to ear across the forehead just behind the hairline. The excess skin will then be removed.

During your initial consultation with one of Denver's few female, board-certified plastic surgeons, Dr. Tanya Atagi, she will discuss your goals and options with you. In some cases, Dr. Atagi can suggest less invasive options, including Botox® injections, which will smooth out the deep creases that form across the forehead, as well as provide a natural looking lift to your eyebrows.

In the Know:
Botox® Cosmetic is a purified protein produced by the Clostridium botulinum bacterium, which reduces the activity of the muscles that cause frown lines to form between the brows. In 2005, almost 3.3 million procedures were performed with FDA-approved Botox. And only one 10-minute treatment can last up to 4 months. To learn more, click here.
