How long does the lip augmentation procedure take?
The procedure typically takes 30 minutes. However, we recommend that you to plan on being in our office for an hour.
How long does the implant last?
Once you undergo a lip implant procedure, the implant should last a lifetime.
If I don't like the implant size can I have it removed and replaced with a different size?
We can remove a lip implant or replace it. The procedure takes about one hour in our office under local anesthesia.
Do the implants feel natural?
The implants are made out of silicone and are able to form to your natural lip contours. They feel very natural.
What should I expect from the recovery process?
You may resume all normal activity with no restrictions the day following your procedure. Many patients get a bruise immediately after the procedure. To minimize the bruising, we recommend using such herbal medications as Arnica Montana and Auriderm.
Where is the incision?
A small incision will be created where the wet and dry part of your lip meets to ensure no visible scarring from the implant procedure.
