The Care-for-the-Bride Wedding Planner
Bride magazines, mothers, sisters and girlfriends are all full of well-meaning advice regarding how to plan your wedding day. There are even special calendars that can give you a month-by-month "to do" list, so you don't miss a single detail.
There are meetings with the wedding planner, tastings with the caterer, rings to pick out, flowers, music, visits to reception halls, dress fittings, vow-writing, and gifts to get for the wedding party.
A lot to do...and you still have your day job!
Which is why taking care of the bride-to-be is often left off the list.
At Atagi Aesthetics, we believe that a happy, confident, healthy bride is the critical element to a great wedding. And in the year leading up to your big day, you are more likely to forget that yourself, if you don't have our one-of-a-kind Care-for-the-Bride Planner.
When you walk down the aisle, you want to look your best. That means getting lots of rest, staying well-hydrated, eating right, keeping up your exercise routine, and paying extra attention to your skin. That unique bride's glow will be missing on your big day if you don't.
So, Dr. Atagi and our team have put together our own "Wedding Planner", which is completely focused on you. Interested brides-to-be can call us anytime during their year of planning for a free skin care consultation to see what makes sense for them. But our calendar below can get you started.
1 Year To Go:
Call Atagi Aesthetics for a free bridal skin care consultation. We will assess your skin and discuss your goals before customizing a plan to help you look your best on your wedding day and beyond.
36 Weeks To Go:
We recommend microdermabrasion and a chemical peel. For best results start now, and follow up with an additional 5 microdermbrasion sessions. Buy 5 sessions, get 1 free.
30 Weeks To Go:
Come in for your second microdermabrasion treatment.
24 Weeks To Go:
We recommend a third microdermabrasion treatment and a chemical peel for additional correction at this time. You will already see marked improvement in your skin.
Now is the time to start thinking about your honeymoon too. Sclerotherapy will erase those spider veins and have your legs looking gorgeous on the beach. And this might be a way to bond with your mother or mother-in-law if they want sclerotherapy too.
18 Weeks To Go:
Your big day is getting close. Now is the time for your fourth microdermabrasion treatment.
This would also be a great time for both bride and groom to upgrade your skincare programs. If you haven't been in by now, you can still schedule a free skin care consultation with our skincare specialists to learn about our Obagi and Nia 24 lines. Medically-supervised, prescription skincare regimens alone have been proven to provide 70% of the results you desire. So if you do not have the time to follow any other recommendation, do this now!
16 Weeks To Go:
You and members of your bridal party may want to get our new Pearl Peel, which provides intense resurfacing of the skin. This requires some recovery time, so don't wait on this one.
12 Weeks To Go:
Schedule your fifth microdermabrasion treatment and a chemical peel for additional correction.
You may also consider getting fillers, such as Juvéderm, Radiesse, Evolence, and Prevelle Silk, which should be done no later than 12 weeks prior to the big day. Fillers can be used to redefine your facial contours or help bring back lost fullness to your lips, cheeks, and your smile lines.
Start Latisse, the first FDA-approved eyelash product that has been proven to lengthen, thicken and darken your eyelashes. This would definitely make a unique bridesmaid gift too.
6 Weeks To Go:
Wedding planning can be really stressful at this point. Make sure to come in for your sixth, and final, microdermabrasion treatment to ensure that your skin looks its best on your big day.
Some brides-to-be also step it up a notch and go for botox to the "11s" (those vertical lines that appear between your brows when you are concentrating). Botox can also correct the fine lines to the forehead or raise your brows to give you a well-rested look. There is no down-time or recovery.
4 Weeks To Go:
If you've had botox, this is the time to come in for a follow-up and make sure that all areas of concern have been corrected. Brides and grooms, as well as the entire bridal party, can also get botox to the underarms to prevent sweating...and if you're nervous at all, this could be critical.

These are all great gifts for your bridesmaids too!
1 Week To Go:
Get lots of beauty sleep. Drink lots of water. This is a great time to pamper yourself. Get a medical facial that will make your skin glow and give you with a relaxing afternoon. And don't forget your light-weight, mineral-based sunscreen by Colorescience in case pre-wedding activities end up under the sun. After all this preparation, you don't want to walk down the aisle with a sunburn!
Your Big Day:
Enjoy and know that you look beautiful.
4 Weeks After:
The excitement of the past year can be exhausting. So we find that many brides spend their honeymoon falling asleep on the beach...and getting burned. Come in for another medical facial, microdermabrasion or chemical peel to rejuvenate that abused skin and maintain your bride's glow as you start life with the man of your dreams.
